1. Incident Management or IM refers to the activities of an organization to identify, analyze and correct threats. Incident management is to ensure that the critical components of the business can be returned to service in a reasonable amount of time following an interruption.

For instance, a fire in a factory would be a risk that realized, or an incident that happened.
